ACADEMIC PROJECT
In a world saturated with content by the second, this project arises from the need for a compilation of that same content.
The need to share has always existed, but now it is done digitally and at an extremely fast and effective level. Out of this fragmentation I felt the need to bring it all together. Bringing back the postcard format in order to revisit the old habit of sending postcards to our family and friends to share what we felt, thought in that place at that time. Today I believe we use social media for this purpose. Photography has been less about the advance of amateur snapshot photos, and more as a broader development in self expression, memory and sociality.
In no intended chronological order, I present a selection of my favorite photographs from my personal archive. Using them as a reminder of where and how I was at that particular point in time, like a time capsule, essentially, what a photograph is.
Since this is a project based on the theme of Memory, I reinforce this theme by making this project very personal. From present me to future me

Series of 20 postcards

This project embraces an envlope-type case as a way to put everything together as if to send to someone, 20 postcards with a memo written on the back, a Zine as a way to explain to the viewer what the project is about, and a Map displaying where the photos were taken.
